It was open mic night at the pub we stumbled into near the Imperial War Museum this evening. Can't remember her name, however the lady above gave us ten minutes of passable Eagles covers.

Helen Rondell Raku fires her latest creation in near freezing temperatures this afternoon.

HMS Belfast seems to be undergoing some kind of maintenance at the moment. Whatever the situation, the giant floating crane moored beside the ship was pretty impressive in action.

Elephant & Castle rail station is a lonely looking place at the best of times. Fortunately I only had ten minutes to wait until being whisked back to the bustle of a Tuesday Streatham evening.

We took advantage of the good weather and spent the greater part of the day hiking around Arthur's Seat. By dusk we'd made it back down to Princess Street in time to enjoy a couple of cheeky scoops at the Cafe Royal before hitting the five o'clock train back to London.

Thankfully this rather tacky homage to William Wallace is situated in the coach park of the Wallace Monument near Stirling. Mel Gibson fans however, would not be disappointed.

I quite liked the idea of this promotional poster for the film Alfie that has been used on BT phone boxes. Covering an entire pane of glass, it suggests that something illicit might be happening inside. Unfortunately for the film company, the only illicit thing going on inside the Streatham boxes would be the odd tramp emptying his bowels. Not exactly romantic stuff.

With the exception of the local cat population, this is about as wild as our little urban patch gets at this time of year.
